Most of these are jetted corner tubs in mid-tier chains: they work, the jets hit right, but you are not getting a spa atmosphere. College Station revolves around Texas A&M, so fall football weekends book up fast and rates spike. Wichita Falls and Abilene are honest about what they are: a comfortable bed and a hot tub between you and wherever you are headed next.

Summer in West Texas pushes past 100°F, which makes a jetted tub less appealing unless the room's air conditioning is running hard. Alpine and Big Bend are best in spring or fall when desert temperatures drop into the 70s. College Station spikes during Aggie football season, September through November, so book early or expect to pay more. Midweek stays in Amarillo and Wichita Falls rarely sell out, and you can often grab a room same-day at the listed rate. Winter is underrated across the board: lower rates and thinner crowds make the hot tub feel like more of a reward.

Budget rooms under $100 work well. The Ramada by Wyndham in College Station starts at $67 and holds a 4.5 rating, the highest on this list: a clean jetted tub and a decent night's sleep. The moderate-tier jump to places like the Hilton Garden Inn Abilene at $130 buys newer fixtures and a better breakfast, but not a fundamentally different tub experience. The exception is The Maverick Inn in Alpine at $102: it is moderate-priced but feels like a different category because the property has genuine personality.
